Unlike anything in its class, the CARVIN 8 Channel stereo XP880 mixer weighs only 20lbs delivering 800 watts from 3 power amps (L/R and Monitor). Its superb sound starts with Lo Z preamps with adjustable Gain controls. Every stage is designed with extra headroom to get crystal clear voicing at every setting. Powerful Effects come from two independent processors that are assignable from every channel and to the monitor sends. Other features include adjustable L/R tape output, +48V condenser mic supply, Music Break, stereo L/R plus Monitor graphic equalizers. The XP880 is a versatile 800w powered 8 channel mixer. It features two 250w internal power amps (@ 4 Ohms) for stereo main speakers and a 300w power amp (@ 2 Ohms) for monitors. The speaker connections are made with 3 rear locking Speakon connectors as well as 6 1/4" connectors.
Each channel features an ultra-low-noise mic preamp with a variable gain control and switchable 48v phantom power for condenser mics. The XLR balanced mic inputs and the 1/4\" line inputs can be used simultaneously on each channel. 3-band tone controls provide EQ control of each channel. Each channel also has independent Effects, L-R Pan controls and Monitor Sends.
This mixer also features 2, 24-Bit effects processor with the following effects: REVERB, ECHO, FLANGE, CHORUS. The adjustable parameters provide the user with up to 256 settings. The dual graphic EQ is perfect for fine tuning the overall main/monitor mix. One EQ can be assigned to the L-R main mix and the 2nd can be assigned to the monitor mix.
The XP880 is made in the USA utilizing SMT circuits. Surface Mount Technology utilizes micro sized components which reduces the electrical circuit path for increased efficiency, reduces product weight, and increases reliability. Components are tightly soldered to the circuit boards. Large size components can be prone to broken solder connections over years of use due to their size and weight applying stress to the solder joint. Micro sized SMT components alleviate this condition.
The mixer is housed in a durable molded ABS enclosure. The large side handle ensures easy transporting of the mixer. |
