Here are some commonly asked questions regarding Carvin gear and ordering.  For more FAQs, visit the FAQ section of the BBS.

Can I pay a deposit on a Custom Shop guitar or bass?

Yes.  You can pay 20% down to get your build started.  The balance must be paid in full before your new guitar or bass ships.

Does Carvin Guitars offer lay-a-way on other gear?

No.  However, qualified applicants can finance their purchase.  For details on customer financing, click here.

Will Carvin repair my vintage gear?

Carvin has always been in the business of manufacturing new, state-of-the-art instruments, amplification, pro audio and other gear, and not in the business of repairs (other than warranty). Carvin will repair those items that are currently available in the catalog and some models that are out of warranty. Carvin does not have the resources or assets to repair all the vintage equipment they have produced in the past 60+ years. Your best bet is to take your vintage gear to a qualified technician.

In some cases, Carvin Guitars will refinish your Custom Shop instrument or provide other service on vintage gear. Visit this page on for rates and other information.

Is the Carvin warranty transferrable?

No. The warranty on Carvin Guitars Custom Shop gear, as well as amps and pro audio equipment only applies to the original owner, and cannot be transferred if the gear is sold.

Can I get a Carvin Guitars logo for my kit guitar or bass headstock?

No. To help prevent counterfeit instruments, Carvin Guitars cannot provide headstock logos for kits.
