Carvin has been producing guitar and bass kits since the late 1990's, and we've seen some really great work done by our customers.  And now is your chance to not only show your Carvin guitar or bass kit off, but to win a prize for your kit building skills!

Here's the details:

- Send a picture of your completed Carvin guitar or bass kit to
kitcontest@carvinguitars.com.  Send up to 3 photos - front, back, headstock, sides, etc. Your submission should be a kit you actually built - not one you bought that was already completed by someone else.

- Include a description of your kit.  How you completed it, what your
design was, and so on.  Be as detailed as you like.

- Purchase date of your kit (approximate).

- Name, phone number and email address.

- The deadline for entry is September 30th, 2008.  A panel of Carvin judges will select 10 semi-finalists, and then Carvin BBS members will vote on which they like best.  The combination of votes by BBS members and Carvin judges will determine the Grand Prize winner.  Open to US residents only.  Watch the Carvin.com blog for updates and additional information.

The body just needs fine sanding before finishing. New Deep Colors!

Carvin is pleased to add four new deep triple step finishes to our available options. These are Deep Honeyburst and Deep Vintageburst, both of which are available on flamed or quilted maple. Carvin's deep triple step finishes on flamed maple come standard on our CT, CS and SH series guitars, and can be ordered on quilted maple or on other models.
