U.S. Local Business Association's Award Plaque Honors the Achievement

WASHINGTON D.C. -- Carvin Corporation has been selected for the 2008 Best of San Diego Award in the Musical Instruments category by the U.S. Local Business Association (USLBA).

The USLBA "Best of Local Business" Award Program recognizes
outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USLBA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2008 USLBA Award Program focused on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the USLBA and data provided by third parties.

Come see Carvin at Bass Player Live! on November 1st and 2nd, 2008 at SIR Studios on the legendary Sunset Strip in Los Angeles.  Carvin is excited to participate in the event sponsored by Bass Player magazine, and will be showcasing an assortment of Carvin bass gear, including the newly-reshaped Bunny Brunel basses, Icon basses, and BR Series bass amps.  Carvin signature bassist Bunny Brunel will be giving a clinic and performing at the Carvin booth on Saturday at 2:00 PM.

The Bass Player Live! event is a virtual who's who in the bass community. In addition to Bunny Brunel, other notable bassists scheduled to appear are Stanley Clarke, Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Verdine White (Earth, Wind & Fire), Jeff Berlin, Tal Wilkenfeld and many others.  Carole Kaye, Mike Watt and Verdine White will be presented with Lifetime Achievement Awards at the event.

Carvin will also be giving away one of our new BR615N combo amps at the event. The new BR615N has a Neodymium driver, and offers a classic bass tone with unprecedented tonal control and extended headroom. A must-have for any bassist! Stop by our booth and register to win this great new amp.

In conjunction with the Bass Player Live! event, Bunny Brunel will be performing at The Key Club for an all-star bassist jam at 11:00 PM on Saturday night with his signature bass and Carvin BR615N amplifier.  Additionally, Bunny will join fellow Carvin endorser Tony MacAlpine and CAB at The Baked Potato in Studio City on October 30th and October 31st.  This is a great chance to see two amazing musicians live!
