I like that grain too. Is that alder? It looks light for mahogany. Nice bass Congrats |

. . . and the $355 that Carvin just refunded me to make up the difference for the exchange was a nice surprise too, since i forgot all about it |

So, the honeymoon is over (until tomorrow) and i'm very pleased. I can already tell that this is a fast-playing bass. I ordered the 10" radius and put on my favorite strings (Thomastik-Infeld Jazz flats) and i couldn't be happier with the results. I'm waiting to see if this Illinois weather does anything to the neck (we got our first snow of the season tonight) and aside from the usual fine-tuning, this is one great-sounding and great-playing bass (she isn't too hard on the eyes, either).
Thanks for #9, Carvin |

I like the smiley face on the bottom edge.

You aren't kidding with that statement. I've had basses where it seemed that I almost was making monthly adjustments
Never was a problem with my Carvins or Fenders though.
